At the All-Belarusian Art Exhibition "I am Monet. I am Shishkin. I am Malevich" a painting by the artist from Kolodishchi Lora Pavlova participates
From April 4 to May 12, 2019, the All-Belarusian Art Exhibition "I am Monet Ya Shishkin Ya Malevich" takes place in Minsk. Among the exhibitors there is an artist from the Kolodishchi agro-town Lora Pavlova. The artist participates in the exhibition with an abstract oil painting in a wooden frame. The picture is for sale.
The exposition is located in the National Center for Contemporary Arts on Nekrasova Street, 3. You can visit the exhibition on Tuesdays from 12.00 to 20.00, on Wednesdays from 13.00 to 21.00, from Thursday to Saturday 12.00-20.00. Ticket price: 5 rubles - adults; 3 rubles - full-time students, pensioners; 2 rubles - schoolchildren; free of charge - children under 7 years old.
The exhibition "I am Monet I Shishkin I Malevich" was first held in 2017 in Minsk, curated by art historian Olga Clip, borrowing the idea of the American curator Walter Hopps. All interested artists who were able to bring to the gallery one by one work for 36 hours or three days were invited to participate. The only condition was that the work took place at the entrance door of the gallery. As a result, 661 artists took part in the exhibition. The exhibition attracted about 5,000 spectators and dozens of reviews in the media. The success of the first all-Belarusian exhibition of art among the participants and the audience led to the fact that in 2018 the exhibition was held for the second time, now in the squares of the National Center for Contemporary Art (Minsk).
This year the exhibition is held for the third time. In order for the project to acquire a truly all-Belarusian scale, regional exhibitions were held in Grodno and Gomel in March, in which 185 and 130 artists took part, respectively. Delivery of works from Grodno, Gomel, Brest, Vitebsk and Mogilev was organized to the exhibition in Minsk.
